A workshop on Statistical Analysis and Interpretation Using SPSS was conducted on 1st and 10th August, 2021. The resource person for the workshop was Dr. R Ravanan, Joint Director of Collegiate Education, Chennai Region. On 1st August, 2021 he initiated the workshop by giving an idea on SPSS software. Since it was a practical session it helped us to understand the usage of the software more clearly. He explained the descriptive analysis in detail by showing various methods to get output.
The second day on 10 August, 2021 started with the inferential analysis to use parametric and non-parametric tests like t-test, ANOVA, Chi-square test, Correlation, Friedman test, Rank Correlation etc. He also explained how to write inference for each test. He made the two sessions very interactive by frequently asking questions which helped us to get more insight on SPSS. The two days session was very informative to the students as well as the faculty members.
